What you’ll be doing:
* Working closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store operates smoothly every day.
* Taking responsibility for the daily running of the store, often being the only manager present with full accountability for the shop.
* Collaborating with a team to complete all tasks, ensuring customers are served efficiently and safely.
* Managing people, including performance and capability, conducting disciplinaries, and ensuring scheduling and pay are accurate.
* Assisting other stores in the network when needed.
What makes a great customer & trading manager:
* Previous line management experience in a fast-paced, operational environment.
* Provides excellent customer service and coaches the team to do the same.
* Achieves KPIs and other performance indicators.
* Handles disciplinaries, performance issues, and employee relations effectively.
* Leads operations confidently, even in the absence of senior management.
