Job Description
We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team in Coventry to work on the most exciting programmes announced to date.
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will support the engineering and product development teams by managing, issuing, and controlling materials, components, and prototype parts throughout the research and development phase. The role focuses on ensuring design concepts, drawings, and specifications are supported with the correct materials at the right time, enabling efficient prototype build, testing, modification, and iterative development prior to production release.

Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective production.
* Support new product introduction (NPI) including process design, tooling, and equipment specification.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles.
* Analyse production data to improve yield, reduce scrap, and increase productivity.
* Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
* Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
* Collaborate with design, quality, production, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability.
* Lead or support capital equipment projects and process automation.
* Ensure processes comply with health & safety and quality standards.
Essential Skills
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production systems
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement
* Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
* Ability to analyse data and implement process improvements
* Good communication and cross-functional collaboration
* Project management and organisational skills
* Knowledge of manufacturing engineering tools and methodologies
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
* (or equivalent experience in manufacturing engineering)
* 3–8 years experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment
* Experience supporting production processes and continuous improvement
* Experience working in automotive, aerospace, or high-volume manufacturing environments is often preferred
* Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949) in regulated industries
* Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or similar)
* Experience with automation or advanced manufacturing technologies
* Experience leading process improvement or capital equipment projects
