The role We are looking for caring, reliable, and enthusiastic people to join our team as Support Workers, helping adults with learning disabilities live independently and achieve their goals. We are looking to hire several candidates in Supported Living and in our Day Services, Hours: Part time 21 hours or Full-time 35/37.5 hours Location: Working at our supported living services, outreach team, or day centre. Pay: Hourly rate (age 21): £12.50 per hour (rising from £12.21 per hour after successful completion of induction and training). Sleep-in shifts: £65 per shift. There is also a generous enhanced pay entitlement for working on public holidays. Contract type: Permanent. Shift Details: Shifts in Supported Living services will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings, alternate weekends and bank holidays. In the day service shifts are generally Monday to Friday. What will you do? You will look for opportunities and ways of working with people which will maximise their independence, while introducing them to new experiences and exciting things. Provide person-centred support with daily living, health, relationships, and community activities. Encourage independence, choice, and inclusion. Support with planning and achieving personal goals (from everyday routines to holidays and new skills). Keep accurate records and report any concerns to keep people safe. Work as part of a team, sharing information and ensuring consistency of care. Follow policies and safeguarding practices at all times. ? What do you need for this role? Experience of supporting or caring for someone who faces challenges due to their learning disability. Driver with access to a car with business insurance preferred, but not essential.
