We are recruiting an Assistant Technician at Caerphilly County Borough Council. Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday – Friday) Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time Location: Ty Penallta This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Engineering Projects Team. We pay an attractive salary of £25,584 - £27,269 and offer access to training and development opportunities. The successful applicant will form part of the highways design and project management team, providing support to supervisory staff with a particular emphasis on coal tip inspections, general site supervision, and contract administration. You may also be required to assist within the highways design team depending on operational needs and project demands. For the role, we ask that you have: A Relevant Level 2 qualification/s on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales or 5 GCSEs Grades A* to C including Maths and English. General computer literacy with some knowledge in use of Microsoft Office applications. A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to undertake site visits and attend meetings or ability to obtain within 12 months of appointment.
