Job Purpose
We are seeking an inspirational leader with experience in fast-paced and volume operations. Our destination bar and restaurant are key features of the hotel, and we are looking for someone to take this operation forward and establish the venue in the local and wider market.
Candidates should have hotel or high street/retail restaurant & bar experience, have led large teams, and demonstrated success in previous roles. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Restaurant & Bar Manager to work in an iconic hotel.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensure the team has the tools, training, and equipment to deliver consistent products and propositions to the required standard.
* Schedule staff and contractors to optimize productivity and maintain purchasing cycles aligned with forecasted activity.
* Maintain clear understanding of requirements between customers and operational teams.
* Ensure all team members are equipped with necessary skills, knowledge, and behaviors before customer contact.
* Collaborate with Kitchen and F&B Leadership to exceed customer expectations and optimize revenue.
* Ensure all food and drink products meet standard specifications and are delivered accordingly.
* Maximize revenue opportunities during customer interactions while meeting productivity guidelines.
* Maintain prescribed processes, systems, and standards.
* Build rapport with guests and resolve any issues.
* Lead during service periods; coach and motivate team members.
* Maintain productivity and expense performance targets.
* Ensure robust security for stock, cash, and equipment, adhering to all procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
* Experience in food and beverage department
* First Aid at Work certification
