Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse. This position involves various tasks related to materials handling, stocking, and maintaining the overall organisation of the warehouse environment.
Duties
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
* Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.
* Perform materials handling tasks including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
* Engage in picking and packing orders accurately for shipment.
* Assist with shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of products.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse to promote a safe working environment.
* Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management using AS400 or similar systems.
* Execute heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are followed to prevent injury.
* Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets and enhance productivity.
Qualifications
* Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
* Proficiency in operating forklifts; certification is preferred but not mandatory as training may be provided.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems and basic mechanical knowledge is advantageous.
* Experience in construction or similar fields will be considered an asset.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift.
* Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in picking, packing, and inventory management.
