Build software that directly controls how next-generation electric vehicles perform!
This is not a “feature development” role. You’ll be working at the heart of the vehicle — developing embedded software that drives real-time control across eAxles, inverters, and electrified driveline systems.
You’ll take ownership of software from concept through to production, working closely with hardware, controls, and systems teams to deliver high-performance, safety-critical solutions.
What makes this role interesting
* Work on real vehicle control systems, not abstract layers
* High level of ownership – you’re not just implementing specs, you help shape them
* Involvement across the full lifecycle (concept → production)
* Exposure to motor control, power electronics, and battery systems
* Hands-on environment – engineering-led, not process-heavy
What you’ll be doing
* Design and develop embedded software for real-time vehicle systems
* Own delivery from requirements → integration → validation
* Work directly with hardware (inverters, eAxles, ECUs)
* Debug and optimise software on target hardware
* Support system-level integration across powertrain and vehicle domains
* Contribute to safe, production-ready software (ISO 26262)
What they’re looking for
* Strong background in embedded C / real-time systems
* Experience in automotive or safety-critical environments
* Understanding of low-level drivers (CAN, SPI, PWM, ADC)
* Experience with automotive MCUs (e.g. Aurix, NXP, STM)
* Exposure to functional safety (ISO 26262)
Why consider this
If you enjoy being close to the hardware, solving real-time challenges, and seeing your software directly impact how a vehicle behaves — this is the kind of role where you’ll genuinely feel that.
