Supervisory Assistant (Breakfast Club & Lunchtime Supervision) 8.75 hours a week (Breakfast Club) 8.75 hours a week (lunchtime) We are seeking caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Supervisory Assistants to join our team, supporting children during breakfast club and/or lunchtime periods. The successful candidate will help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for pupils, ensuring their wellbeing and promoting positive behaviour. Key Responsibilities: Breakfast Club Duties: Welcome children and ensure a calm start to the day. Prepare and serve breakfast items in line with food hygiene standards. Engage children in quiet activities before the school day begins. Monitor attendance and report any concerns to the appropriate staff. Lunchtime Duties: Supervise children in the dining hall and playground. Encourage healthy eating and good table manners. Support positive play and social interaction. Manage behaviour in line with school policies. Provide basic first aid and report incidents appropriately. General: Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents. Maintain a clean and safe environment. Follow safeguarding procedures and attend relevant training. Contribute to the wider life of the school as needed. Person Specification Essential Criteria: Experience working with children (in a school or childcare setting). Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults. Ability to work as part of a team. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Friendly and approachable with a calm and caring manner. First Aid qualification or willingness to undertake training. Desirable Criteria: Food hygiene certificate or willingness to undertake training. Experience supporting children with additional needs. Knowledge of behaviour management strategies.
