Sport Wales is the national organisation responsible for developing and promoting sport and physical activity in Wales. We are the main adviser on sporting matters to the Welsh Government and are responsible for distributing National Lottery funds. We aim to not only improve the level of sports participation at grassroots level but also provide our aspiring athletes with the support required to compete successfully on the world stage.

How you’ll contribute
Sport Wales’s most impactful policy tool is our community investment streams. This work has the potential to change lives through empowering social change. This is an exciting role at the forefront of that work, supporting the administration of the application process.
The post-holder should have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to deliver a service promoting good customer service.
No prior knowledge of Sport Wales funding or systems is required, as training and support will be provided during a full induction. The most critical element of the recruitment process will be the applicant’s approach to behaviours and skills.
Who you’ll work with
You will work with colleagues in the investment team to support community clubs and organisations in accessing our community investment opportunities, liaising with them daily.
What you’ll need
The post-holder needs prior experience in a customer-service role, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to respond positively to a variety of situations and people to meet changing priorities.
You should be organised and committed to teamwork.
The most important attribute is enthusiasm for working with the public to support positive outcomes through strong customer focus skills.

Main Duties
Deliver exemplary customer service by advising and guiding applicants through the initial application stages, ensuring a positive experience.
Manage all telephone and email enquiries received by the Investment Team in Welsh and English.
Oversee the Community Investment Expression of Interest process, providing applicants with access to online application forms where eligible for Sport Wales funding.
Update databases, such as the Online Investments Management System, and maintain records to ensure data integrity.
Fulfil responsibilities related to statutory duties, including Well-being of Future Generations (Wales), Equality, Information Security, Risk Management, Safeguarding, Financial Regulation, and Health, Safety & Environment.
Work flexibly and perform other duties as required, relevant to the post and appropriate to the grade.
