The post-holder will work alongside GPs and nurses within the prison healthcare team, providing mental health support to individuals with medium-term mental health issues. The post requires collaboration with various disciplines to understand the complexities of mental health needs and liaising with secondary and primary mental health services, as well as third sector organizations, to ensure cohesive care pathways. The role may include unsocial hours and involves managing a caseload of primary care mental health patients.
