Senior Business Analyst, Institutional Banking & Distribution, Business Development

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support our business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Head of Wholesale Banking & Financing Solutions and Deputy Head of Institutional Banking & Distribution in executing IB business strategy in Sub Saharan Africa.
* Manage existing African FI relationships and improve the profitability of the unit in line with the Bank’s Risk Appetite, IBFI budget, targets, and global strategy.
Key Skills/Experience:
* Assist Relationship Managers in achieving departmental budgets.
* Drive business origination by marketing new relationships and onboarding clients.
* Prepare credit applications for review, demonstrating strong financial statement analysis skills.
* Ensure compliance with KYC/KYB requirements and conduct reviews for new and existing clients.
* Coordinate with the Business Risk Review team to complete client outreach and documentation within timelines.
* Monitor financial statement review deadlines and facilitate necessary approvals.
* Prepare limit extension requests and manage system limit adjustments.
* Distribute weekly financial limits reports.
* Handle customer queries effectively.
* Support prospecting, due diligence, and portfolio management activities.
Experience / Knowledge:
* Experience with Financial Institutions, UK regulatory environment, and credit analysis.
* Understanding of International Trade Finance.
* Experience in the African market is advantageous.
* French language skills are desirable.
* Knowledge of financial statement analysis for banks and risk rating tools like Moody’s.
