Venn Group is delighted to be partnered with a leading children’s charity to recruit a Payroll Assistant on a permanent contract. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, working closely with Payroll, HR, and Finance teams to meet statutory requirements and maintain up-to-date records.
Key responsibilities of the role:
* Process monthly payroll using the ADP iHCM Managed Service system
* Ensure departments and employee records are accurately set up and maintained
* Administer pension contributions, auto-enrolment, and reporting
* Manage statutory payments including SSP, SMP, and SPP
* Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure timely archiving and filing
* Collaborate with Finance to support monthly reconciliations and reporting
* Respond to employee payroll queries and support with general administration
* Assist with year-end processes, HMRC submissions, and audit preparation
Ideal candidate profile:
* A recognised payroll qualification (e.g. CIPP) or strong hands-on experience in a payroll role
* Solid understanding of UK payroll legislation, tax, NI, and pensions
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines
* Confident communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach
