Position Overview
Technical Services Specialist – Surface Wellheads. Duration: Permanent. Location: Aberdeen with offshore trips as required.
The company is seeking a Technical Services Specialist to join their technical team supporting well integrity and leak sealing operations on surface wells and wellhead systems across platform and land wells. This position reports to the Technical Services Manager and combines engineering support activities with operational deployment. The specialist focuses on procedure writing, job planning, technical preparation and occasional workshop duties while maintaining readiness for client site deployment at short notice (onshore/offshore in the UK and internationally).
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engineering services safely and professionally on client assets and premises.
* Diagnose technical issues on wellheads, trees, and downhole systems, supporting the development of practical solutions.
* Deploy products and tooling in accordance with established procedures and job programmes; mobilise for assignments as required (onshore and offshore, UK and internationally).
* Maintain equipment standards and complete operational reporting in line with safety and procedural requirements.
* Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, procedures, and client presentations.
* Read and interpret technical drawings related to wellheads, valves, downhole, and internal seal structures.
* Foster continuous improvement by contributing operational feedback.
* Promote and uphold the highest standards of health, safety, environment, and quality.
* Support and deliver training to third‑party personnel as necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience with surface wellheads, christmas trees, and topside valve/sealing systems (platform or land wells).
* Proven offshore experience and valid offshore certification is required.
* Technical or engineering background with hands‑on experience.
* Comfortable with both onshore and offshore assignments, including international travel at short notice.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office for reporting and technical documentation.
