Make a Real Difference in a Child’s Day!
Looking for a meaningful way to give back? Join us as a Volunteer Driver with Sense Scotland’s Children’s Service in Kinning Park, Glasgow. You’ll do more than just drive — you’ll be part of creating positive, memorable experiences for children with complex needs.
By helping them get to and from activities and sessions safely, you’ll be opening doors to friendship, fun, and vital support. Just a few hours of your time each week can make a big difference in a child’s life. We’re currently looking for volunteers who can offer their time across 7 days a week.
Why Volunteer with Sense Scotland?
When you volunteer with us, you become part of a team that puts children at the heart of everything. You’ll be supporting young people to take part in the activities they love — and helping their families too.
As a Volunteer Driver, you’ll:
• Build real connections with children and families
• Know that your time is giving children a chance to feel included, confident and cared for.
Whether you're thinking about a future in care or just want to give something back, this is a chance to do something truly rewarding.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and experiences. For this role, we’re looking for someone who:
• Has a UK Cat B Driving Licence; familiarity with minibus, and automatic is an advantage.
• Understands the importance of vehicle maintenance and road safety to keep passengers safe
• Is friendly, reliable, and confident behind the wheel
• Enjoys spending time with children and understands their needs
• Can commit to agreed times and values safety and confidentiality
• Is happy to work as part of a team and follow guidance
Experience isn’t essential — what matters is your compassion, patience, and willingness to help children feel safe, supported, and seen.
What You'll Get in Return
• The chance to make a real difference in people’s lives
• A friendly and supportive team environment
• New skills and valuable experience to add to your CV
• Opportunities for learning and personal development
• Confidence building in a professional setting
• A free Sense Scotland volunteer t-shirt
