Link3 Recruitment is working in partnership with leading secondary schools across Solihull and the West Midlands to recruit Qualified English Teachers for flexible and long-term opportunities across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5.
Whether you are looking for daily supply to maintain flexibility or a more permanent contract, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and inclusive English lessons that cover reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
* Teach across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 (A-Level) experience being a strong advantage.
* Prepare students for GCSE exams (AQA/Edexcel/WJEC), ensuring progress and achievement for all learners.
* Adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of abilities, including EAL and SEND students.
* Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental development.
* Participate in staff meetings, CPD, and parents evenings if in a long-term role.
* Willingness to take on full teacher responsibilities (planning, marking, assessment, reporting) for longer-term roles.

Qualifications
* Qualified English Teacher (QTS) Secondary School, or equivalent, with experience teaching in UK secondary schools.
* A strong communicator with excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
* Creative, reflective, and committed to continuous improvement.
* Knowledgeable in the national curriculum, GCSE specifications, and literacy development.
* Passionate about helping students build confidence and develop their own voice through reading and writing.
* Flexible, reliable, and eager to contribute positively to the school community.
What We’re Looking For
* QTS or UK-recognised teaching qualification in English.
* Experience teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 KS4 (KS5 desirable).
* A clear understanding of exam preparation and curriculum expectations.
* Strong subject knowledge and a desire to foster a love of literature and language.
