Overview

Join to apply for the Early Years Practitioner role at Angus Council.

Based at Early Learning & Childcare Centre, Taylor Street, Forfar (ELC Model 3). This is a fixed workstyle role with substantial front-line service delivery and planning responsibilities.


Responsibilities

* Deliver a flexible, high-quality, education and care-centred service for young children and their families.
* Contribute to planning and implementing the curricular programme in line with national and local policies and quality assurance procedures.
* Work as a member of an early level team to meet the needs of individual children and families.


Models and Working Pattern

Angus Council operates the following ELC models:

* ELC Model 1 – 190 funded days at 6 hours per day
* ELC Model 2 – 152 funded days at 7.5 hours per day
* ELC Model 3 – 228 funded days at 5 hours per day (open for more hours daily; 46.6 weeks per year)

Working 36.25 hours per week, you will work up to 195 days per year on various patterns (Monday to Friday). Days of work will be confirmed. You will also have weekly planning and professional time in addition to direct contact hours.


Requirements and Qualifications

* Membership of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or commitment to gain registration with the SSSC in accordance with their requirements.
* Ability to become a member of the PVG Scheme.
