Working Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Job Summary
My client is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Assembler to join their manufacturing team based in Morley. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling bedroom and occasional furniture according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly Tasks

Assemble bedroom and occasional furniture as per engineering drawings and specifications.

Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment to build cabinets and furniture components.

Follow detailed instructions to ensure proper alignment and fit of all parts.
Quality Control
*
Inspect components and finished products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards.
*
Identify and report any issues during the assembly process.
*
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Team Collaboration
*
Work effectively within a team to meet production goals and deadlines.
*
Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to support smooth workflow.
*
Assist in onboarding and training new team members in assembly techniques and safety practices.
Documentation
*
Record assembly work accurately and maintain production logs.
*
Report any discrepancies in components or drawings to the Assembly Team Leader.
Health & Safety
*
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
*
Wear required PPE and ensure tools and equipment are used safely and correctly.
Qualifications
Experience
*
Previous experience in furniture assembly or a similar manufacturing role preferred.
*
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
Skills
*
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and other assembly equipment.
*
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
*
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.

Good verbal communication and ability to follow instructions.
Physical Requirements

Capable of lifting and moving heavy furniture parts.
*
Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Education
*
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Vocational training or certification in woodworking or furniture assembly is a plus.
