How you will make an impact This role will play a critical role in contributing to the growth of UK Cyber and Tech by driving the business plans for our annual strategies through - Underwriting new business; developing and maintaining relationships with existing brokers with a focus on the most critical global partners; taking on the management of complex risks including captive fronting programs and multinational placements and assisting in coaching of junior team members; and executing the divisional Financial Lines strategies. Meet individual underwriting expectations to help team achieve budgeted financial objectives. Underwrite within agreed decision making standards, limitations, and underwriting authority Assess desirability of risk through analysis of financial reports and accounts (as required)); regular contact with broker; thorough review of proposal; and review of claims history and general company information Use designated Underwriting system(s) to streamline underwriting and information-tracking approach across Profit Centre. Input required data consistently and accurately. Provide Management information including, but not limited to, submissions, bind rate, average premium, and total premium as required. Provide excellent service to brokers through consistent, timely, and proactive approach to underwriting Generate new business by building on existing key global relationships and expanding broker network, attending broker events, market meetings, client 1 to 1’s and building new relationships across the market Be a go to for complex underwriting of risk managed solutions (captives) and multinational Support sales plan with UK Cyber Manager to identify brokers, products, and industry segments to target Maintain key renewal accounts at greater than 85% retention Liaise with PIU and Operations as policy and/or booking issues arise Ensure all brokers and clients are treated fairly Ensure customer-centric approach Ensure contract certainty Conduct self-audit as required Ensure compliance with key regulatory and risk management responsibilities Demonstrate AIG values at all time What you'll need to succeed Underwriting experience within Cyber & Tech Exhibit sales orientated behaviours, defined by Management as: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable Multinational understanding Time management - ability to handle multiple priorities, organise work and meet deadlines Ability to analyse financial statements Ability to network and build relationships Organizational skills Customer and sales focused At AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
