Role Overview – Senior Residential Care Worker
As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you'll take on a key leadership role within our team, helping to ensure that our young people receive the highest standards of care and support.
You'll lead your shift, provide guidance and direction to colleagues, and act as a positive role model for both staff and young people. Please note: This role involves 14-hour shifts followed by a 10-hour sleepover. Sleepover pay is not included in the salary range displayed - the salary range displayed is calculated at the lower rate of £16.00 per hour x 40 hours per week x 52 weeks of the year. Sleepover payments will enhance this pay.

What You'll Do
* Lead and oversee your shift, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted requirements.
* Support, guide and mentor care staff to deliver consistent, therapeutic, and trauma-informed care.
* Build positive, trusting relationships with young people through empathy, structure, and understanding.
* Ensure all safeguarding and reporting procedures are followed to the highest standard.
* Contribute to care planning and review processes, ensuring each young person's individual needs are met.
* Promote a nurturing, safe, and stable environment that helps young people achieve positive outcomes.

What We're Looking For
* A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification) – essential for Ofsted compliance.
* Experience supporting young people with complex needs in a residential setting.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage shifts and support a small team.
* A calm, compassionate, and resilient approach to care.
* Commitment to trauma-informed practice and continuous professional development.
