What is the job role?
We are seeking an exceptional Administrative Assistant to join our team at John Shelton Primary. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing a professional front-of-house service, handling enquiries, and assisting pupils, staff, parents, and external agencies with efficiency and care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deal with internal and external telephone calls, filtering and taking messages as required
2. Collate and record pupil information on SchoolComms, including dietary requirements, free school meals, and dinner money payments
3. Maintain accurate pupil records on BROMCOM, ensuring data is relevant and up-to-date
4. Assist with the admissions process for Nursery, Reception, and whole-school admissions, liaising with relevant staff
5. Support the Business Manager with financial processes, including order input and payment procedures
6. Ensure financial audit requirements are followed throughout the payment process
Qualifications and Experience:
7. Excellent administrative and organisational skills
8. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
9. Proficient in the use of school management systems and Microsoft Office
10. Experience in a similar administrative role, preferably within an educational setting
