Salary: £27,166 - £27,820 per annum

Working pattern: Monday to Friday - 4 hours per day
Location: Abingdon Campus
Contract type: Permanent
To supervise the cleaning team on a daily basis to ensure that there are sufficient cleaning staff to meet each day's demand; and that all duties are carried out to the required specification using correct techniques and cleaning equipment.
Responsibilities
* Perform cleaning duties across various college areas to a high standard, following schedules and procedures.
* Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including machinery and step ladders.
* Manage waste and use cleaning materials in line with health and safety regulations (COSHH).
* Support the cleaning team with daily tasks, flexible working, and covering absences.
* Maintain professionalism and clear communication with staff, students, and visitors.
* Monitor standards, report issues, and assist the Estates Manager with audits, stock levels, and schedule reviews.
* Take responsibility for assigned areas and contribute to a safe, clean environment.
Essential Experience
* Be educated to Level 1 in literacy, numeracy and I.T.
* Demonstrate high standards of cleaning.
* Have knowledge of the safe use of cleaning products and cleaning machines.
* Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to work without supervision and also as part of a team.
* Be flexible, hard working, enthusiastic, honest and reliable.
* Understand Health and Safety and COSHH legislation.
* Have experience of working with the general public.
