UL/UEC is seeking a Treasury Analyst at grade G14, based at our Paddington Head Office. The role involves managing an annual foreign exchange turnover of approximately £6 billion, Urenco's cash of around €1.0 billion, and debt of €0.6 billion. The position also oversees the Group's nuclear decommissioning trusts in the US, established in 2022 ($570 million), and planned in the Netherlands in 2025. The team comprises six members, including the Treasurer, Deputy Treasurer, two Treasury Managers, and two Treasury Analysts. The Group Treasurer reports to the CFO, with support from the Treasury Accountant and the Risk Team.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Forecasting and analysis, including preparing short-, medium-, and long-term cash forecasts.
2. Managing control procedures and completing monthly accounting procedures and reconciliations for SOX compliance.
3. Financial analysis, including preparing monthly KPI reports and designing new reports as needed.
4. Month-end reporting, including balance sheet and P&L analysis.
5. Overseeing the Decommissioning Fund and Investment Committee.
6. Preparing treasury reports and managing risk control measures.
7. Participating in treasury projects and other duties as assigned.
Candidate requirements:
1. Numerate graduate with relevant qualifications.
2. Qualified Accountant or Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) qualified.
3. Understanding of treasury and banking operations.
4. Appreciation of treasury and financial controls.
