Account Development Manager – Trade Growth
The Opportunity Ironmongery Plus Ltd is seeking an ambitious Account Development Manager to join our team in Bathgate.
We identify the trade leads; your role is to grow them. You will take new business enquiries—largely generated through our website—and convert them into regular, repeat trade customers. You will act as the primary point of contact for these clients, ensuring we remain their preferred supplier through consistent, proactive account management.
Key Requirements
* Relationship Building: Proven ability to convert new contacts into loyal, repeat customers.
* Organised & Diligent: You will manage a steady stream of leads. You must have the discipline to track every interaction, follow up on every enquiry, and maintain high standards of accuracy.
* Computer & Software Literacy: You will spend your day managing digital leads, processing orders, and tracking account history. Familiarity with software like QuickBooks is desirable, though strong general IT skills are essential.
* Communication: Excellent telephone manner is a requirement. You must be comfortable reaching out to clients, building rapport, and managing professional trade relationships.
Responsibilities
* Conversion: Taking new business leads and turning them into active, regular accounts.
* Account Growth: Proactively managing your portfolio to increase order frequency and spend.
* Digital Diligence: Processing orders and tracking account history accurately through our internal digital systems.
* Service Excellence: Ensuring every trade client receives a professional, efficient service.
What We Offer
* Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum.
* Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
