Sales Executive - Lookers Gateshead Ford
Salary: OTE up to £50,000 (basic £25,000 + uncapped commission)
Working Hours: 44 hours per week: Mon‑Fri 08:45‑18:00, Sat 08:45‑17:00, Sun 11:00‑15:00. One day off midweek and alternate Sundays.
We are recruiting an ambitious and experienced Sales Executive to join our hard‑working and friendly team on site. Specialising in the sales of used cars, you will work alongside our passionate sales team to provide Lookers first‑class customer service.
As a Sales Executive you will be a team player with exceptional communication skills, building rapport with colleagues and customers. You will report to our Sales Manager who will help shape your knowledge and develop your skills for a strong career within the industry.
Responsibilities
* Communicating with customers via email, telephone and in person
* Suggesting suitable vehicles based on customer needs
* Arranging and accompanying customers on test drives
* Negotiating the final price for the sale
* Completing the relevant paperwork for each sale
Qualifications
* Strong communication skills and self‑motivated to succeed in a sales role
* Ambitious and hard‑working, with the ability to hit targets
* Previous experience in a similar position or in the motor trade is preferred but not essential
* Full UK driving licence (required for occasional test drives of vehicles)
