PA required to support a young man for 7 hrs p/w @ £12.38 p/h
Apply at UKCIL.com. Reference: 6b0bac9a
Job Purpose: I am a 22‑year‑old autistic man looking for someone to support me for two afternoons a week. I need help learning life skills in the community, accessing services and facilities, building confidence and attending hobbies such as photography and interest groups. I would also like support learning to budget independently. I am selective mute and struggle to communicate with others; however, I would like to build rapport and confidence with others and find activities that give meaningful use of my time, foster independence, and eventually lead to voluntary work. I find it easier to get along with males of a similar age but once I get used to the support, I get on with anyone. I struggle with sensory issues, loud noises, and how certain sounds and environments feel. Unexpected noises such as sirens or motorbike engines can cause me to go into lockdown, so the support should be able to help me remain calm in those situations.
