Duties
•To gain experience of all the HR functions through the employee lifecycle including:
oRecruitment and Selection
oOnboarding
oPay and Reward
oHR Systems
oContracts
oHR Casework
oLearning and Development
oHealth and Safety
•Develop a knowledge and understanding of employment policies, practices and legal obligations.
•Respond to routine queries from employees and managers.
•Conduct research and provide support for, and contribute to, team and organisation wide projects.
•Manage employee documentation and liaise with employees and managers as necessary.
•Support the HR team in managing performance, behaviour and attendance and employee casework.

We are looking for a caring and resilient HR Apprentice to join our busy HR Team. You will have a real interest in engaging with people and making a positive impact, providing a comprehensive HR service across our five departments.
Expect to work across the HR spectrum of disciplines and work towards the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be an outstanding HR professional. You will use your strong organisational skills to provide effective administrative support to our Human Resources and Learning & Development Teams.
As you progress through your Apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to be involved in supporting the line managers and employees with tasks such as recruitment and learning to provide advice and assist with learning and development activities.
This post is based in a friendly team where you will receive excellent support and on-the-job-training and the opportunity to study for a HR qualification. What’s more, you’ll gain valuable work and life skills to help you launch a career in your chosen field.

Qualifications
You will work towards the CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice qualification.
Welsh Spoken Skills - Desirable, but not essential.
Welsh Written Skills – Desirable, but not essential.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential employee information with discretion and integrity.
Basic understanding of HR principles
Attention to detail
Digital literacy skills
Previous experience of working in an office environment
A positive approach to problem solving, addressing workplace issues and supporting HR policies
Able to work as part of a team and/or own under supervision
A willingness to undertake training and develop new skills and abilities as part of personal and professional development for continuous improvement.
An ability to complete tasks in agreed timeframes and work to deadlines.
