Permanent Mixed Veterinary Surgeon - Stranraer, Wigtownshire

We are recruiting on behalf of a mixed animal practice in Stranraer, Wigtownshire for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.
This role is full time with shifts from 8:30am to 6pm with weekends on a rota and 2 in 10 nights on-call. You will receive half a day back in lieu on Fridays after working a weekend.

10. Team: 10 vets, 3 nurses and a supportive non-clinical team
The role
11. Mixed Animal role.
12. Full time position working Monday - Friday from 8.30am - 6.30pm. There is a shared weekend rota along with a 2:10 OOOH with half day Friday off in lieu after working a weekend.
13. The Vet will be joining a team of 10 Vets across two sites.
14. The role will involve a wide variety of cases, including dairy fertility, small animal consultations and surgery, fertility testing and horse work.

16. The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
17. The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

18. Established Mixed Animal Practice with 2 sites.
19. RCVS accredited farm and small animal practice.
20. They encourage clinical freedom and the development of special interests.
21. They are fully equipped with facilities including a small and large animal ultrasound, bull and tup fertility kit, digital radiography and full in house laboratory.
22. They are located within the countryside within the southwest of Scotland and offer a plethora of outdoor activities.
23. They have a team of 10 Vets, 3 Nurses and 3 nursing assistants across two sites. One of the Vets hold a certificate in Cattle Health and Production.

Package
33. Salary: Up to £70, per annum, commensurate to experience
