Our client is a highly reputable, independent, medium-sized accountancy practice based in the heart of Suffolk. Reed Practice has been engaged directly by the Partners, who are looking to appoint an ambitious Semi Senior Accountant to join their growing team.
The firm has a thriving and expanding client base, continuing to grow at pace. This newly created role forms part of their strategic expansion plans and is designed to support the Senior Accountants and management team while maintaining a healthy workload across the business.
The Role
Working within a close-knit, high-calibre team and supporting the leadership group, your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing statutory accounts and tax returns, from initial preparation or first review through to completion
* Handling general bookkeeping, accounting, and taxation queries
* Supporting occasional Capital Gains Tax (CGT) submissions
* Assisting with a small amount of local audit work, only if you have experience and wish to be involved

About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have trained and worked within a UK accountancy practice
* Be confident producing work in line with UK accounting and tax regulations
* Be up to date with current accounting and tax rules
* Be AAT Level 4 qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified or finalist
* Experience with any of the following systems would be advantageous: Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, FreshBooks, FreeAgent, CCH
