Accounts Administrator – Cadeby Homes

About the role
This exciting role is primarily an accounts administrator role day to day with the addition of other general office duties that comes from working in a small family business.
Employment type
This role is a full-time one working from our offices in Hugglescote, Coalville 5 days a week. Working hours are 8.30am – 4.30pm including 1 hour break for lunch.
Remuneration
The salary for this position is £28,000 - £30,000 per annum negotiable based on skills and experience.
Main duties and responsibilities
The role is a varied one, but the key responsibility is to provide accounts management and book-keeping support to the company and other family organisations. Specific duties and responsibilities will include:
· Maintaining accounting records using our Sage accounts system
o bank reconciliation
o petty cash
o raising of sales invoices for property extras
o purchase ledger management
§ input of purchase invoices
§ matching delivery notes
§ payment of suppliers
o journal entries
· Preparing quarterly management accounts
· Processing and payment of weekly wages and monthly salaries
· Administration of NEST pension scheme
· Payment of Sub-Contractors including filing CIS Returns
· Payments to HMRC
· Preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns
· General administration as required, answering telephone, greeting visitors
Experience and qualifications
· Personal qualities –self-motivated and enthusiastic
· Skills – strong financial skills and acumen
· Skills – highly organised and efficient
· Skills – comfortable with and having a good working knowledge of the relevant IT, including standard communication tools, web-based documents, social media and similar.
Experience – very likely to have had administrative management / office management experience/similar, and must be able to demonstrate the relevant skillsets.
