We are looking for a well-organised and proactive
Maintenance Assistant
to join our office-based maintenance team. In this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the maintenance and repair needs of a portfolio of residential properties.
You'll act as the first point of contact for tenants reporting maintenance issues, liaise with contractors and landlords and ensure that all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. This is a fast-paced, admin-focused role that requires excellent communication and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive and log maintenance requests from tenants and property managers
* Coordinate and schedule repairs with approved contractors and suppliers
* Track progress of jobs to ensure timely completion
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance issues, costs, and contractor performance
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and legal requirements (e.g. gas safety certificates, electrical checks)
* Follow up on works to ensure tenant satisfaction and quality standards
* Provide general administrative support to the maintenance team
Requirements:
* Experience in a property management or maintenance coordination role preferred
* Strong organisational and administrative skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a busy workload
* Familiarity with residential maintenance and common building issues
* A calm and professional approach when dealing with tenants and contractors
* Knowledge of compliance requirements (e.g. gas safety, EICRs, HMO regs)
