As we continue to expand, we are looking for a skilled Finance Controller to oversee and drive financial operations within our growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
* Oversee day-to-day financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
* Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
* Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Xero Software Proficiency:
* Utilise Xero accounting software to record and reconcile financial data accurately and efficiently.
* Ensure data integrity and accuracy within Xero, including bank reconciliations, invoice processing, and expense tracking.
Strategic Planning & Budgeting:
* Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and objectives.
* Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support decision-making and long-term planning.
* Prepare and manage the company's annual budget, monitoring variances and providing recommendations to improve financial performance.
* Conduct regular financial forecasting to anticipate potential financial challenges or opportunities.
Compliance & Reporting:
* Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
* Prepare and present accurate financial statements, reports, and summaries to senior management and stakeholders.
Cash Flow & Risk Management:
* Monitor and manage company cash flow to ensure liquidity and meet financial obligations.
* Implement effective cash management strategies to optimise working capital.
* Identify financial risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
* Implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud.
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, ideally within a company of similar size and revenue to Trade Mastermind.
* Strong management and leadership experience, with the ability to oversee financial operations and drive strategic growth.
* Proficiency in Xero accounting software is essential.
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
