Responsibilities and duties may also change in light of future business needs and personal development. • Work with Commercial and functional peers to develop high-quality tender submissions. • Work with the Commercial Revenue Manager to support the Head of Commercial Planning & Revenue to develop a rolling tendering strategy. • Build and update tendering models and proposals. • Costing of tenders, MiniSpecs and other service changes. • Improve the tendering process and develop efficiencies. • Reduce manual timelines to enable greater thought leadership. • Present business cases and tender summaries to senior stakeholders, internal and external. • Review contract performance vs. tender expectations. • Evaluate London Bus market to assess market competition. • Work with TfL to deliver on proposed tender plans and network amendments. • Negotiate the best outcome to deliver for London’s passengers and business outcomes. • Cover colleagues when absent. • Actively participate in route mobilisation requirements. • Collate and analyse financial and operation data in support of the TfL claim and revenue process. Knowledge and Skills • Knowledge of TfL Bus tendering processes. • TfL Bus network and Bus Action Plan. • Key accounting principles and metrics. • Strong data and analysis skills. • Appropriate tools to improve processes and automation. • Good commanding knowledge of Excel as well as other Microsoft tools. • Negotiation and account management. • Strong commercial acumen. • Comfortable liaising with diverse teams. • Health & Safety compliance. Success Criteria • Win new London Bus Route Contracts. • Successful internal and external audit. • Maintain a cooperative relationship with Transport for London. • Support Commercial Team peers to win new contracts and operate them effectively above internal and external targets.
