As we prepare to officially launch our brand‑new Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) in Hanley, Stoke‑on‑Trent, UHNMs Imaging Department is excited to welcome enthusiastic and motivated Diagnostic Radiographers to join our expanding Community X‑ray team. Roles are available on a full‑time, part‑time, or flexible basis.
In this vital support role, youll work alongside Radiographers and Assistant Practitioners at the new CDC and across our four existing community sites. The team operates seven X‑ray rooms across five locations in North Staffordshire, including:
* Haywood Hospital
* Leek Moorlands Hospital
* Cobridge Health Centre
Youll be part of a rotational team, delivering high‑quality care across all sites.

Main duties of the job
You will act as clinical lead when you are on duty, organise and prioritise competing clinical demands, and ensure a safe, clean, professional environment. You will need to be knowledgeable, confident, handle pressure well while still being approachable, supportive and caring to all.
You may be a band 6 Radiographer looking for a change or an experienced Band 5 Radiographer looking to progress and join an exciting imaging department.

Applicants must have a BSc Hons Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent, HCPC registration, a minimum of 12 months NHS experience, and recent work experience within a general X‑ray team using digital radiography technology.
Successful candidates will be expected to contribute towards the community teams 7‑day rotation which includes shifts from 7am to 10pm and also BHs.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Minimum of 12 months working knowledge of Plain Film Radiography
* Experience of using a RIS and PACS system
* Organisation, prioritisation and planning skills
* Awareness and knowledge of current H&S regulations
* Experience and understanding of quality assurance
* Good knowledge of current IRR17 & IR(ME)R regulations
* Knowledge of Wellbeing CRIS and Sectra PACS systems
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications
* Knowledge of equipment
* Experience of working in an NHS imaging department
Qualifications
* Educated to A Level or equivalent
* Educated to DCR/BSC in Diagnostic Radiography
* Registered with the HCPC
* Evidence of CPD
* Educated to PgCert/PgDip/MSc in a modality/speciality
* Completion of a RPS course

* Good interpersonal skills
* Reliable, flexible, trustworthy, assertive, innovative
* High standard of diagnostic imaging
* Willingness to train others
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential due to community‑based role)
* Ability to participate in 24/7 rosters and a flexible approach
