Job Title: Finance Accountant – VAT Returns Location: Luton - Hybrid role with at least 2 days in the office Duration: 3 month FTC Contract - Immediate start available The Impellam Group is looking for a proactive Finance Accountant who has strong EXCEL and analytical skills to help with our VAT compliance review. You'll play a pivotal role in our Finance department, contributing to the accurate and efficient management of our tax-related processes. Key Responsibilities: Re-working four annual VAT returns using a pre-populated template, reviewing sales and purchases transactions. Completing VAT account reconciliations. Review the submitted VAT returns. Using EXCEL to gather / collect data to reconcile. Manage administrative tasks related to tax filings and documentation. Collaborate closely with the Head of Tax, providing support and insights. Work collaboratively within a team to achieve departmental goals. Qualifications and Skills: Proficiency in Excel and a high level of IT literacy is a must – you have to love a good spreadsheet for this role Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical abilities. Experience in tax-related roles is desirable, but not mandatory. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. The fixed term contract is for an immediate start and finishes on Friday 22 December 2023. The office location is at Capability Green, Luton with two days onsite in the office on a Monday and Thursday.
