As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the clinical team and contributing to the delivery of excellent patient care. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is compassionate, detail‑oriented, and eager to make a meaningful impact in Primary Care.
Responsibilities
* Phlebotomy
* Measuring and recording physiological measurements during routine presentations
* ECG recording
* Diabetic foot checks
* Urinalysis and specimen preparation for pathology laboratory investigation
* Administration of B12 injections
* Seasonal and routine immunisations (flu, pneumococcal, shingles)
* Wound care
* Stock checks and ordering
* Ensuring clinical rooms are fully stocked
* General housekeeping (tidying storerooms, disposing of expired stock, reporting issues)

Roathwell Surgery is a friendly, forward‑thinking GP practice located in the vibrant urban community of Roath, close to Cardiff City Centre, with easy access to public transport and major road links. We serve a diverse patient population with a list size of approximately 6,000 patients. Our clinical team includes 5 GPs, supported by experienced practice nurses and a dedicated administrative team.

Qualifications
* Agored Cymru Level 3 Diploma in Primary Care Health Care Support or equivalent accredited modules
* Experience working in a GP surgery
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to patient confidentiality and professional standards
* Compliance with the HCSW Code of Conduct
* Proficient in EMIS clinical software
