The Department has a substantial research programme, with major funding from Medical Research Council (MRC), Wellcome Trust and National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and provides highly rated medical training in psychiatry. The Head of Department is Professor Belinda Lennox.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Oxford Precision Psychiatry Lab and lead engaging communications that elevate the lab's research, public presence, and flagship projects – including GALENOS and the PRADA Trial – as the group continues to expand its impact.

This post requires two days per week on site, with one day per week available for flexible working.
About the Role
The post is funded for 1 year and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.
You will write, edit and proofread a variety of communications content and outputs for a range of channels/platforms such as websites, social media posts, newsletters, blogs, videos or campaign content. You will manage the setting up of a new website(s) for the GALENOS and PRADA projects, and the ongoing maintenance of relevant websites/pages for the Oxford Precision Psychiatry Lab (OxPPL) group, generating ideas for content and managing day-to-day updates. You will lead the production and project management of communications/promotional materials for a range of communications activities
About You
You will have a good general level of education or equivalent professional experience with demonstrated experience of contributing to print and digital communications activities, social media content and supporting media relations activity. Experience working within mental health settings and communicating effectively with scientific or research-focused communities is desirable.
