**Contract Manager Role Summary**
This is a challenging role that requires the successful candidate to manage a portfolio of contracts, ensuring they are delivered within budget and to the required quality standards.
* The Contract Manager will be responsible for managing the entire contract lifecycle, from initial tender to final completion and defect liability period.
* They will work closely with clients to understand their needs and requirements, and develop strategies to meet those needs while ensuring the company's goals are met.
* The role involves managing resources, supply chain, plant, materials and logistics to ensure successful contract completion.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage an assigned portfolio of contracts, ensuring that works are delivered with contractual obligation and cost effectively.
* Manage the portfolio of contracts achieving a minimum gross margin as specified by the Company KPI.
* Implement a self-auditing regime using available systems and processes to validate that works are being completed in accordance with the Contract Execution Plan.
Key Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
* A relevant qualification in construction or engineering, such as ONC, HND or Degree Level in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services or Construction.
* Knowledge of mechanical works, including installation of chillers, pipework, AHU's etc.
* Technical qualification and CSCS card relevant to the role.
* First aid at work qualification.
* Ability to demonstrate delivery of projects of comparable size, value and industry.
* Leadership and management style in keeping with JCA's brand image.
* Excellent analytical skills and experience of Document Management Systems, Sharepoint, Dynamics CRM, Asta Powerproject, Excel, Anaplan or similar/equivalent packages.
* Experience of working in an SME and understanding of the need for broad business knowledge.
* Knowledge of construction and engineering industry statutory requirements, methods and processes.
