A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Barnoldswick, Lancashire is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Spanish to join their Modern Foreign Languages department from September 2026.
This is a full-time position, teaching Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, offered on a fixed-term basis initially until April 2027. The role would suit either an experienced practitioner or an enthusiastic ECT looking to develop their practice in a supportive school environment.
The Role
* Deliver engaging and high-quality Spanish lessons at KS3 and KS4
* Inspire pupils to develop confidence and enthusiasm for languages
* Plan, assess, and adapt lessons to meet varying abilities
* Contribute positively to the wider MFL department
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour, progress, and achievement
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Has strong subject knowledge of Spanish
* Is confident teaching KS3 and KS4
* Demonstrates effective classroom management skills
* Is committed to inclusive practice and pupil progress
