Description About the Role As a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, you will provide holistic, client-centred services to families experiencing separation, conflict, or crisis. You’ll help parents manage child-focused arrangements and facilitate mediation processes that comply with the Family Law Act 1975 (Cth) and relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities Deliver Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) services in line with legislation and best practice. Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans, particularly in cases involving family and domestic violence. Facilitate parenting and property mediations, both face-to-face and online. Provide information and referrals for counselling and legal processes. Maintain knowledge of current Family Law legislation and mediation practices. Manage caseloads and meet service benchmarks. Skills And Experiences Essential Criteria Accreditation with the Australian Government Attorney-General’s Department Register of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners. Tertiary qualification in Law, Social Sciences, Social Work, or Mediation/Dispute Resolution (preferred). Demonstrated experience in family dispute resolution, including assessments and mediation interventions. Comprehensive understanding of family and domestic violence, trauma-informed practice, and child development. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a child-focused approach. Why Join Us?
