As a Engineering Technician your roles include the repair and overhaul of Electronic and Electro-mechanical equipment in a timely and efficient manner whilst complying with legislative and organisational standards.
The role will cover at least 1 of the following: -
Avionics systems.
Maritime systems
Communications Systems
Navigation Systems
Weapons systems
Cable and Test Box manufacture
Perform self-directed Test; Diagnostics; Repair; Maintenance; Modification; Calibration and Manufacture of Equipment down to module / individual Component level using approved Engineering Documentation and techniques.
Hold Self-Certification; Over-Signing; Certifying & Conditioning of Equipment Responsibilities ( for example: Serviceable / Unserviceable / Scrap).
Supervision; Training and Over-Signing of Junior / Equivalent grade Staff & Apprentices.
Carry out Feasibility and Development activity, including the Reverse Engineering and Creation of supporting engineering documentation / Test Procedures.
Use a combination of different IT software.
Provide Specialist Advice as required.
Work within a scheme of Engineering Governance and comply with all Policy and Legislation
Person:
Holds relevant: Level 4 qualification and advanced/higher apprenticeship; or Level 3 qualification, a nationally recognised Electrical/Electronic engineering apprenticeship or Military equivalent.
Practical engineering experience in one or more of the roles listed.
Already living in or commutable to Deeside.
Undergo Security Vetting including Criminal Record Check
