CAD Designer

Job Summary: We have a fantastic opportunity for a CAD Designer to take on a Lead Design role, which will be dedicated to working on a high-profile account. This role will work closely with Account Managers and Project Managers to produce Commercial Kitchen Designs in 2D CAD.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst delivering accurate, timely designs in a fast-paced environment. Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet client specifications and ensure project timelines are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Account Managers and Projects Manager in gaining a solid understanding of the client’s requirements and translating this into their kitchen designs.
* Utilising 2D CAD to produce accurate design drawings and specifications for live projects.
* Detail the fabrication information on drawings and gather supplier information for equipment detail.
* Assist with project documentation and administrative tasks.
* Discuss design issues with the wider team, working together to find practical solutions.
* Occasionally attend client update meetings, to review designs, templates, and equipment specifications.
Key Requirements:
* Fully conversant in the use of 2D CAD
* Experience within Commercial Catering equipment sector is a must.
* Experience with 3D modelling and BIM is preferable.
* Comfortable working within a fast-paced business and meeting tight deadlines.
* Strong communication and ability to work as team player.
* Comfortable being customer-facing.
* Previous experience in producing estimates/quotations would be advantageous.
* Excellent attention to detail.
