Telecare Equipment Installer
Contract: Permanent
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Installer to join our team on a permanent contract in the Worcestershire area. This role plays a crucial part in helping people to remain at home for longer, safely and with independence.
As an Installer, you will visit customers in their homes to simple and complex installations, upgrade current technologies, and test digital telecare equipment. This role includes participation in a weekend on-call rota approximately every 6 weeks, responding to urgent installation or maintenance issues outside of regular working hours.
Support the delivery of the company's Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS) installation and maintenance services by applying specialist knowledge and skills (training will be provided)
Assist with asset management and stock control measures including storage, tracking, and recycling
Complete client assessments and obtain client details for inputting on call handling database
Responsible for safe use of vehicles, tools and equipment in line with Taking Care policy and procedures

Empathy and patience when working with older adults or people with disabilities
Willingness to travel (a valid driving licence is required)
Ability to follow safeguarding and data protection protocols
Competence in MS Office and basic computing packages
Experience with installation and maintenance of electronic or telecommunication equipment
Basic networking and connectivity troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mobile data)
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and installation guides
Previous experience in telecare, healthcare, social care, or community support roles
