This role combines operational management, team leadership, and client engagement to deliver an exceptional experience for our members. As the local ambassador for KARVE, the Studio Lead will foster a welcoming environment, ensure brand standards are upheld, and keep all aspects of the studio running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
Studio Operations
* Oversee daily operations to ensure a clean, organised, and safe environment.
* Manage class schedules, instructor shifts, FOH rota, and private bookings/events.
* Ensure equipment is maintained and serviced regularly.
* Implement studio policies, procedures, and safety standards.
* Liaise with the relevant teams in the event of client, staff, or building emergencies.
* Oversee opening/closing duties and cleaning staff rota.
* Support the set-up and running of KARVE coffee shops in various club locations.
* Onboard and train FOH staff in reception and café duties (including barista training).
Team Leadership
* Lead, mentor, and support FOH staff and instructors.
* Conduct regular 1:1s, give feedback, and support professional development.
* Foster a collaborative and positive team culture.
* Supervise FOH staff in sales, customer service, and retail operations.
* Assist with escalated client issues or complaints.
* Work with the Lead Trainer on special projects.
* Support with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff.
* Attend management meetings and lead regular team check-ins.
Client Relations
* Act as the main point of contact for client queries, feedback, and concerns.
* Build strong relationships with members to drive loyalty and retention.
* Conduct tours/consultations with prospective clients.
* Assist clients with scheduling and membership queries.
* Collaborate on special events, giveaways, and community initiatives.
* Report and help resolve any maintenance issues impacting the client experience.
Sales & Marketing
* Analyse weekly studio performance and share insights with management.
* Collaborate with Marketing to promote classes, events, and memberships.
* Drive sales through community outreach and in-studio initiatives.
* Support retail merchandising and in-studio product sales.
* Work with Social Media to provide in-studio content and assist with shoots.
* Attend catch-up calls with the Social Media team and contribute creative ideas.
Finance & Administration
* Oversee membership billing and follow up on declined payments.
* Run weekly reports on attendance and KPIs.
* Manage expenses, supplies, and equipment orders (via Momence/ApprovalMax).
* Assist with budgeting and financial planning when required.
* Track and report merchandise sales for incentive schemes.
Community Engagement
* Support partnerships with local businesses, influencers, and PR opportunities.
* Assist with the organisation of studio events and community activities.
* Represent KARVE at external events (conferences, panels, workshops).
* Track partnerships, outreach efforts, and produce monthly reports.
* Monitor and respond to online reviews (Google, ClassPass, etc.)
Requirements
* Experience in a leadership or management role (fitness, wellness, or hospitality preferred).
* Passion for fitness and community.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
* Strong sales and customer service abilities.
* Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.
* Familiarity with scheduling software, CRM systems, and financial reporting.
Preferred:
* Previous experience managing a fitness studio and/or café.
* Proven track record in sales and customer retention.
