Location: Our sessions are based at community venues across Surrey, with this role being primarily based in Guildford and Woking.Hours: Variable Hours contract working primarily on Thursdays, 10am-4pm, during term time.**Annual Leave: **30 days pro-rata, inclusive of bank holidays.**Training: **Fully paid training is given and further development opportunities are available.
We are looking for people to support learners in an outreach capacity on our fantastic community based learning programme, Building Futures, around the local Guildford and Woking areas.
You will be responsible for:-Providing highly person-centred 1:1 support to young adults,-Helping to promote life skills, independence, social skills, leisure opportunities, educational provision and community access.-Reporting actual or potential safeguarding matters to the Project Worker, Year Leader, Building Futuresmanagement team or Head of Safeguarding without delay.
Requirements:-Excellent communication, organisation and problem solving skills-Due to the physical nature of the programme and community working, a good level of fitness and stamina is required.-You will ideally be proactive and keen for continuous improvement in yourself and the adults you are supporting, contributing to the development of the programme and working closely with the team.-Aged 18 and above.-Right to work in the UKPlease note we are currently unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.-Willing to provide suitable reference andundertake a DBS Check. The initial cost of the DBS application will be paid for by halow.Please note, it is a criminal offence for people who are barred from working in Regulated Activity (Under the Safeguarding and Vulnerable Groups Act 2006) to apply for a role that requires them to work unsupervised with that particular group (i.e. adults at risk, children or both).
