Occupational Therapist – Adult Social Care (Major Adaptations Service)
A local authority service in Croydon is looking to recruit experienced Occupational Therapists to join their Major Adaptations team.
The role focuses on delivering complex Occupational Therapy assessments, major adaptations, and long-term independence solutions within the community.
Main Duties:
Undertake holistic Occupational Therapy assessments with an occupational focus
Recommend and coordinate specialist equipment, adaptations and assistive technology
Carry out moving and handling assessments and provide safe, practical solutions
Work closely with housing, DFG processes and relevant partner agencies
Deliver strengths-based, outcome-focused care planning
Manage an allocated caseload and prioritise in line with statutory responsibilities
Contribute to safeguarding and multi-agency workingRequirements:
Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy
HCPC Registration
Strong experience in major adaptations and community OT
Experience with moving and handling assessments and DFG processes
Knowledge of relevant social care legislation
Strong communication and report writing skills
Enhanced DBS/CRB (support available)
Eligibility to work in the UK
Driving licence and access to a vehicle desirableBenefits:
