Join to apply for the CNC Turner role at Motorola Solutions.
This onsite role is based at our Sandy (Bedfordshire) offices, 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
* Machine Setup: Set up CNC machines, including loading materials, selecting appropriate tools, and programming as per specifications.
* Programming: Develop CNC programs using CAM software and/or G-code (preferably Fanuc) for machining operations.
* Operation: Operate CNC machines to produce parts within specified tolerances and quality standards.
* Quality Control: Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure product quality and conformance to specifications.
* Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with CNC machines, making adjustments as needed.
* Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tools.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine setups, tool changes, and production runs.
* Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment.
* Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to achieve production goals.
* Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements in machining processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
* Proven experience as a CNC Lathe, with a strong understanding of machining processes.
* Strong technical aptitude and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Keen attention to detail and precision in executing machining tasks.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
* Strong problem-solving skills to address issues during machine operation.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.
* Stamina to stand for extended periods during machine operation.
