Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in business development and key account management within industrial engineering environments (energy, chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, hydrogen), with a background in Civil or Structural engineering.
Requirements include:
* A proven record of bidding and managing projects.
* Experience mentoring staff and developing competencies.
* Experience developing service offerings and expanding client base.
* At least twelve years’ experience, preferably in an engineering consultancy.
The candidate we are looking for will have:
* A degree in Engineering or a related subject.
* Experience leading project delivery with a focus on:
o H&S & Risk Management
o Technical delivery
o Cost control
o Contractual management
o Programme management
* Ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary design teams, including third-party suppliers such as Architects and MEP specialists.
* Relevant membership of a professional institution (e.g., MICE, IStructE).
Responsibilities include:
* Building strong internal relationships with engineering teams in Runcorn and Grangemouth.
* Developing and maintaining networks for business development.
* Ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
* Collaborating with senior management to establish growth strategies.
* Managing key clients.
* Developing the technical capabilities of the engineering team.
* Mentoring, motivating, and encouraging the Runcorn team.
* Attending conferences and seminars.
* Collaborating with marketing to produce materials, complete tenders, and identify client engagement themes.
