Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role involves managing teams, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise all restaurant or hotel operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning
* Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food production processes to maintain quality standards
* Manage team members, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold hygiene standards across all areas
* Coordinate with kitchen staff to optimise workflow and efficiency in food service delivery
* Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
* Implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing clientele
* Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and inventory management
* Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Skills
* Proven supervising experience within the hospitality or restaurant sector
* Strong team management abilities with excellent leadership qualities
* Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
* Competence in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques
* Experience in serving guests in a hospitality setting such as hotels or restaurants
* Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance requirements
* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
* Excellent organisational skills with a focus on detail-oriented service delivery
* Effective communication skills to liaise with staff and guests alike
* Previous barista experience or familiarity with beverage service is advantageous but not essential
