The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Subcontract Programme Manager to play a key role in overseeing the commercial and contractual aspects of subcontract accounts across a major programme. You’ll be responsible for ensuring contracts are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with best practice, while supporting project teams with expert commercial guidance.
What you’ll be doing:
* Manage commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement through to final account agreement
* Provide expert advice on contract performance and commercial issues to Programme, Project and Operations teams
* Establish and monitor contractual programme, forecasts, and commercial performance reporting
* Secure labour, materials, and subcontractors to support timely, cost-effective contract delivery
* Lead tendering activities in line with procurement strategy, ensuring compliance with sourcing processes and legislation
* Work with key stakeholders to resolve issues raised by subcontractors or internal teams
* Lead dispute resolution and support the closure of commercial claims
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
* Strong background in Quantity Surveying within construction or related sectors
* Proven experience in managing service or construction contracts, with deep knowledge of contracting and pricing routes
* Ability to work effectively under time constraints
Desirable:
* Professional membership (RICS/MCIPS) or working towards
* Solid knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts
* Experience leading or coaching a small team
