The Business

The Role
As a Workshop Engineer, you'll be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of plant equipment from the depot.
This role suits someone who prefers a structured environment, working on a variety of kit while supporting the wider engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Service, maintenance, and repair of heavy plant and powered access equipment
* Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and routine servicing
* Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
* Prepare equipment for hire and ensure it meets company standards
* Work closely with the parts and service team to ensure efficient turnaround
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop
The Candidate
* Experience working on heavy plant, powered access, or similar machinery
* Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills (electrical knowledge beneficial)
* Workshop or depot-based experience preferred
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent (desirable)
* Team player with a proactive attitude
* Good attention to detail and pride in work
